Keith Green is probably known for some of his best songs such as “Your Love Broke Through,” “You Put This Love In My Heart,” and “Asleep In The Light.” In No Compromise: The Life Story of Keith Green, Melody Green together with David Hazard tells the story of Keith from being a child music prodigy to his career in the secular music industry then finally in the tops of Christian music. This book tells Keith’s early days as a struggling musician. When it was evident that his big break was not coming, he slid into the hippie-drug movement of the 70’s. Keith’s life was constantly seeking for something big in life. His search led him through every type of Eastern religion, cult and new age philosophy. He found nothing except psychedelic drug experiences. Keith’s search continues until the day that Jesus put an end to his search. Over time, the life of Jesus and His messages appealed to him as the true way of life. Keith spent his remaining years making music for the glory of God and taking people who are in need in their home. Later, Keith and Melody’s personal outreach became a non-profit ministry they called Last Days Ministries. Sadly, at a very young age of 28, he tragically died in a plane crash together with his two young children in 1982. However, Keith Green had already created a legacy of music and an inspiration that would outlive him.
